The Hoops will wear the brand new kit for the pre-season friendly clash with Rapid Vienna on Sunday, with first team players Scott Brown, Kris Commons, Anthony Stokes, Beram Kayal and Virgil van Dijk launching the new strip at the club’s pre-season training base in Bad Leonfelden.

Brown told celticfc.net: “I think it’s brilliant. It’s a really nice kit and is a good fit as well. The strip is very bright and something a bit different. It’s good to have a white kit again and I’m looking forward to wearing it this season.

“It’s our third kit but hopefully we will get a lot of use out it over the campaign and can have a lot of success while wearing it.”

Striker Anthony Stokes added: “It’s lovely and I really like it. I have always been a fan of all-white kits.

“This is definitely my second favourite strip by a long way. I think it’s the best one we’ve had for a long time, and hopefully I can wear it a few times this season and score a few goals in it.”

Featuring a white shirt with a green, white and gold band across the chest and green sleeve cuffs, white shorts and white socks, the new kit bears similarities to Celtic’s all-white first strip.
