Kris Commons, Joe Ledley and Adam Matthews were on hand to unveil the new Magners-sponsored strip, which features the club’s trademark hoops, with each individual hoop broken into seven smaller rings representing some of the Parkhead side’s greatest players, such as the late Jimmy Johnstone and Henrik Larsson.

The shirt features a label inside the neck from former Celtic chairman Sir Robert Kelly, which reads: “This Celtic Football Club is much more than a football club. To a lot of people it’s a way of life.”

The shirt is teamed with white shorts with a green stripe on the side, and white socks incorporating the broken hoop pattern seen in the shirt.

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell told the club’s website: “We are delighted to launch our new home kit today, together with our global partners Nike and Magners. We thank both organisations for their continuing support.

“As Scottish champions and Scottish Cup holders, and with the club in magnificent shape off the field, we look ahead to next season with confidence.

“We enjoyed fantastic support from our fans last season. We aim to continue to deliver success and we are sure there will be some exciting times ahead for our fans once again.”

Paul Condron, Marketing Director of Magners , added: “Magners and Celtic share many values, including a strong Irish heritage and a track record of success at home and abroad.

“Today marks the start of our partnership with the club through the launch of the new Magners branded kit. We look forward to working with Celtic and Celtic fans in the coming years to play our part in the club’s exciting future.”

The new kit will be available to fans from July 4th.
