Celtic target Mix Diskerud leaves Rosenberg

The Norwegian club confirmed that the United States international will be available to join a new club on the 1st of January.

The news will be of interest to Ronny Deila who is a long time admirer of the star -the Norwegian previously tried to sign him at Stormgodset - and is looking to bolster Celtic’s midfield in January. With Kris Commons looking likely to leave for England and Beram Kayal set to return to Israel, there will be money and space available for the player.

Diskerud’s father Paal, confirmed the midfielder is considering his options. He said: “Mix has a list of clubs that have shown an interest and the process now is to go through these from top to bottom and work out his next move.”

Paal also confirmed that he was an admirer Celtic manager Deila. He added: “Ronny Deila is a fantastic guy, a good person and is a coach I’ve been following closely.”
