Celtic target Barry Douglas renews Lech Poznan deal

BARRY Douglas has extended his stay at Polish side Lech Poznan despite reported interest from Celtic.

Polish publication Przeglad Sportowy is reporting that the former Dundee United defender, who signed a two-year deal with the Ekstraklasa outfit in May 2013.

Douglas has performed well for Lech Poznan, chipping in with a handful of goals and numerous assists.

When he signed the contract in May 2013, the club included a clause allowing them the option to extend his contract by a year, which they have activated.

The newspaper suggests the Lech Poznan’s coaching staff are ‘satisfied’ with Douglas’s form.

The Glasgow-born left back was watched by Celtic scouts in Lech Poznan’s 2-1 win over Legia Warsaw last month, in which Douglas netted a goal from a free kick.
