On loan left-back Diego Laxalt was live-streaming himself playing popular video game Fortnite as he took questions from those watching on.

A Celtic supporter asked him if he had met Howe yet, to which Laxalt replied: "No, no, no. Eh, tomorrow, tomorrow."

Having taken place on Monday night, fans are now wondering whether an announcement on Howe’s arrival will be made today, though others have pointed out the obvious language barrier that may have caused the Uruguayan to misinterpret the question.

Howe is the current odds-on favourite with the bookmakers to become the permanent successor to Neil Lennon, who left the club last month. The former Bournemouth boss is followed in the market by current caretaker boss John Kennedy and former midfielder Roy Keane.
