The bids, believed to be in the region of £4 million, were deemed well below the Parkhead club’s valuation of the forward, and clubs have been told they will need to offer more to land the 24-year-old.

The Daily Express reports that Hooper has told Celtic boss Neil Lennon that he would prefer to leave the club, with Norwich his preferred destination.

However, QPR could come back with an improved offer after offloading defender Chris Samba to Anzhi Makachkala for £12 million.

Celtic, who signed Hooper for around £2 million from Scunthorpe in 2010, will be looking to make a sizeable profit on the goalscorer.

The Parkhead side have already signed Amido Balde to bolster their strikeforce, and are in talks with Anthony Stokes regarding a new deal.
