The Green Brigade organised a welcoming committee for the Celtic team bus arriving at Hampden for this afternoon’s showpiece final, which Neil Lennon’s side won after a penalty shoot-out and a 3-3 draw in extra-time against Hearts.

More celebrating fans waved the team away from the National Stadium on the south side of Glasgow in the aftermath of the historic win which sealed the 12th consecutive domestic trophy and the Hoops urged their fans to stay away with Glasgow still in Tier 3 of coronavirus restrictions and further severe measures to come next weekend.

The club pleaded: “For clarification, the Celtic FC team bus will NOT be returning to Celtic Park this evening. We ask supporters not to gather outside the stadium. Thank you for your co-operation.”
