The 26-year-old Kosovan international moved to Italy in summer 2019, joining Hellas Verona from Dinamo Zagreb.

It took just a few months of impressive performances for the Gialloblu to prompt interest from Napoli which turned into a £12.6million move having only joined Hellas for under £2million.

“I have been told that I am an important part of the team and I believe that the moment will come very soon.

“I had offers from Celtic and Standard Liege, but in the end, I signed for Napoli, it was the most important step of my life.”
