But that doesn’t mean there are not longer term plans being put into place, or discussed.
That’s meant the rumour mill has kept turning and this morning is no exception with plenty of links, transfer speculation and gossip.
Rangers have again been linked with a summer midfield move and Celtic could be looking to move some players on and seek re-enforcements, and there’s also news in their new manager speculation – though Neil Lennon remains very much in place at the Parkhead dugout.
It’s very much long-term talk at the moment but there are one or two moves that could still be made with free agents able to sign up for clubs outwith the transfer window – and one well-known player from Scottish football is in the speculation spotlight and could be back on these shores, well pitches, very soon.
