Celtic manager latest: The top 10 candidates according to the bookmakers

The appointment of the next Celtic boss is set to be an intriguing one.

There are big changes happening at the club this summer. It will be the first time since 2011 they are not going into pre-season as champions of Scotland, while chief executive Peter Lawwell is departing and is being replaced by Scottish Rugby’s chief operating officer Dominic McKay.

Lawwell is unlikely to be the only big name leaving Parkhead. Neil Lennon has already parted company with the club, leaving John Kennedy in interim charge, with the future unclear around some of the team’s key starts.

Scott Brown’s contract is up at the end of the season, while there could be significant interest in the likes of Kristoffer Ajer, Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie to name but a few.

It will be fascinating to see what changes Celtic make. Will a director of football be recruited prior to the appointment of a new manager? Will the club go for a specific style or identity? Will they target a big name?

Numerous managers have been linked and will continue to be linked with constant movement as to the key runners and riders.

We look at the top ten candidates according to the bookmakers.
