The 22-year-old had hit 27 goals by the time the season went into shutdown, while he has an incredible record fro France U21s with 11 goals in six appearances.

A possible contingency plan for Celtic involves Israel striker Shon Weissman.

The Daily Telegraph report the 24-year-old is an option being considered by the Scottish Champions at a possible cost of £4.5million.

Weissman has had a hugely successful season with Austrian top-flight side Wolfsberger AC, netting 29 times in 30 games.

He has struck 22 times in 21 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga and also shown his ability on the European stage with Europa League group stage goals against Roma and Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Weissman, who previously played for Maccabi Haifa in his homeland, has four caps for Israel.
