“The big issue will be how he lines up at the back - will he go with three or with his four which maybe gets Griffiths and Edouard into the team. They have been looking like developing a partnership between the two of them,” said Bonner.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound he added: “The big question for Neil now is does he go with the players that he has put into a team who have started to get him results, the likes of Soro and Turnbull, against Rangers in the big game coming up? That will be exercising his brain at the moment.”

Lennon had been under pressure at Parkhead after a poor run of form but claimed the Scottish Cup last weekend to complete a quadruple treble and 12 consecutive domestic trophies.

However the team trails Rangers by 16 point in the SPFL Premiership.

"There are a lot of questions and a lot of big things that he will have to be getting right over the next couple of days,” added Bonner.
