His participation for the clash with Rangers on Saturday, October 17 is now in doubt, with the former PSG man now having to self-isolate for at least ten days.

However, as of Wednesday night, he was the only Celtic player to return a positive test.

A statement from Celtic read: “We can confirm that Odsonne Edouard has tested positive for Covid-19 while on international duty with France U-21.

“As it stands, no other Celtic FC player has returned a positive test.

“Our thorough testing programme will continue and we will continue to follow all protocols.”

Edouard, who played for Celtic last Sunday against St Johnstone, will definitely miss France U-21s’ two scheduled matches against Liechtenstein and Slovakia this week.
