The Parkhead club will hold this year’s meeting on Monday, December 14 through a live stream with fans not allowed to attend the event at Celtic Park.

Questions must be submitted four days beforehand with the board admitting they may “group questions together”. Fans will likely wish to hear answers on the team’s failure to reach the Champions League group stages for the third successive season and the suitability of Neil Lennon as manager.

The document released by Celtic to shareholders read: “Due to current Covid-19 situation, including the related social distancing requirements, and under the published health guidelines issued by both the UK and Scottish Governments, the AGM will be held on a 'closed' basis.

"Shareholders will therefore not be permitted to attend in person and anyone who seeks to attend in person will not be permitted to do so on the grounds of public safety.

"As Shareholders will not be able to attend in person, they are strongly encouraged to vote on all resolutions by completing a proxy appointment form."

"Shareholders are invited to submit to the board any questions they would otherwise have raised at the AGM in advance of the meeting, via e-mail to [email protected] by no later than 6pm on 10 December 2020."

One interesting resolution to be voted on is that of Resolution 11 – which is the same as the noted Resolution 12 from the 2013 AGM.

It relates to Celtic asking Uefa to assess the granting of a European licence to rivals Rangers in 2011. The board are calling it a “final vote” on the matter.

The document read: "Resolution 11 is the same form as resolution 12 proposed at the 2013 AGM which was requisitioned by certain members and then adjourned indefinitely at that meeting.

"It is included for a final vote by the Company's shareholders."
