Celtic fans hit out at John Kennedy over lack of changes for Aberdeen trip

Celtic have named their team to face Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership with two changes made from the side which started the 2-0 defeat to Ibrox at the weekend.

The Scottish Cup loss meant Celtic have nothing to play for in terms of either trophies or league placings between now and the end of the campaign, so supporters were eager to see a bit of change in the line-up.

After being greeted with a selection which included most of the usual faces, fans were quick to make their displeasure known on social media:

@Robert_mac88: “This lineup is pure cowardice from Kennedy, absolutely shocking not to give the players here for next year more time, self interest from a coach knowing his stock plummets every week.”

@ghman78: “This is a total joke! Half these players won’t be here next year! So why not give some guys playing time! Just shows JK hasn’t a clue!”

@MoiMania_: What the actual f***. What do players such as soro, barkas and karamoko dembele have to do to get a game.”

@CELTIC2019: “Why are we playing people that wont be here next season?”

@NotoriousBAG_: “Sneaking Karamoko Dembele in as if he’ll get a game. Bain in goals, Brown in MF, Bitton at the back. Yawn yawn yawn.”

@Microchi: “Good to see us giving up and coming youth player "Scott Brown" a chance. We should build a team around him.”

@Gastro_Celtic: “What a f*****g riddy this team is. End the season now.”

@KeiganC88: “Win this game, apply pressure on that mob, beat them in 2 weeks. 10’s back on bhoys.”
