Celtic fans fume at their club after Rangers confirmed Scottish champions for first time in 10 years

Celtic fans are criticising the men tasked with running their club with renewed vigour after watching their side surrender the title to rivals Rangers with a 0-0 draw at Tannadice.

The result handed Steven Gerrard’s men the title with still six games of the Scottish Premiership season remaining and the Ibrox side’s first crown in a decade.

Here’s what the Celtic supporters said on social media:

@CelticFc_Core: “And that right there sums up our season. A pitiful performance to cap off a pitiful league campaign.”

@Mikey_Bhoy_1993: “Sevco winning first ever title on March 7th = disgrace. Kennedy must be ruled out of contention for job. CGAF if we win SC/beat Sevco, let him cut his teeth as a manager elsewhere. Along with Lennon & Lawwell away, we need overhaul (coaches, players, scouts, boardroom, new DOF).”

@OIdRussia: “You’re going to need a new bio. Here you go! “The official Twitter of a club that fell asleep at the wheel, shortchanged the fans and totally f***** up what was to be our greatest season, Celtic Football Club”.”

@Arsene_Parcelie: “The era ends with a whimper. Here’s hoping that the clear out allows fresh blood and ideas and given the financial problems still to come for all clubs because of CoVID, fan apathy and changing of people’s priorities, that will be a brave decision.”

@Greenhoops: “Let the clear out begin. Those no longer interested can go. Hard to believe that massive salaries are not motivation enough.”

@lubohenke1967: “The biggest drop off in performance and stature of a squad of players I've seen in 40 years and John Kennedy, somehow gets stay and run this team, changed nothing, 20 pts & 26 goals worse off goal difference wise..from a Quadruple Treble... SHAMELESS.”

@scanna86: “well done Dermot Desmond Clapping hands sign well done Peter lawwell Clapping hands sign well done Neil Lennon Clapping hands sign you’ve officially became the men who lost the ten. Shocking decision made on the managerial appointment. Shocking scouting system. Shocking club football club vision.”

@MaclureAndrew: “Today was nothing to do with Covid, penalties, yellow cards or red cards. It was to do with imposters in celtic shirts. Put on a field by imposters pretending they are managers. Supported by imposters in the board room.”
