Ronny Deila’s side will travel to Iceland for the second season in succession, having defeated KR Reykjavik 5-0 on aggregate at the same stage in last year’s competition. In fact, the match in Iceland was Deila’s first competitive game in charge of the Scottish champions.

Once there they will hope to avoid the same fate suffered by Motherwell who were defeated by Stjarnan over two legs in the Europa League qualifiers last term.

The Steelmen led 2-0 in the first-leg at Fir Park but drew that match 2-2 and exited the competition after succumbing to their opponents 5-4 on aggregate.

Stjarnan are a side known over the world for their entertaining and unusual choreographed celebrations.

The first leg will take place on either July 14 or 15, with the return leg taking place the following midweek.
