The 18-year-old was a surprise pick on the bench for the Scottish Premiership clash with Aberdeen as John Kennedy named his first team selection as interim manager following Neil Lennon’s resignation earlier this week.

The striker is yet to make his debut for the Scottish Premiership champions, though he’s someone who is valued highly by the club, as evidenced by the new deal, which will keep him at Parkhead until 2025.

He joins academy team-mates Ewan Otoo and Owen Moffat in signing long-term deals in 2021.
