Celtic: Ambrose and Boyata in line to face Molde

CELTIC may have to revert to the much-criticised central defensive pairing of Efe Ambrose and Dedryck Boyata for tonight’s Europa League tie against Molde.

An ankle injury means Jozo Simunovic is rated only “50-50” by manager Ronny Deila to take his place in the back four for the Group A fixture at Celtic Park.

Ambrose and Boyata have both been guilty of costly errors in Celtic’s last two European games. Simunovic limped out of Saturday’s 3-1 win over Aberdeen.

“Jozo is desperate to play,” said Deila. “He almost wants to take injections to play but that’s not legal anymore. I think he is 50-50.”
