Talks between the Kenyan international and Southampton have stalled over after the 21-year-old failed to agree personal terms despite the Premiership outfit agreeing a fee of £12.5m with the Parkhead club.

The Kenyan appears to have gone cold on the idea of moving to the south coast after being unable to agree terms with the St Mary’s club following talks over the weekend.

Wanyama is reported to be intrigued by interest from Cardiff, although it remains to be seen if the newly-promoted English Premier League side can meet Celtic’s valuation.

The African, who moved to Parkhead for just £900,000 from Belgian club Beerschot two years ago, is in no rush to leave Glasgow, and Celtic won’t put any pressure on him to depart unless he is happy to go.
