Celtic are in a strong position going into the summer transfer window, compared to a raft of clubs in Scotland and in England. They have plenty of cash reserves, have the promise of European football and can offer competitive salaries.
Due to the finances on offer in English football, from the Premier League down to the fifth tier, there are a host of players who may not even consider Scotland. But the more clubs cut their costs down south with individuals wary of simply getting a contract the more attractive the SPFL becomes, especially a move to Parkhead.

1. Jordan Ibe (Bournemouth)
The sparkling forward has lot some of his fizz as he's struggled to live up to early billing. Has been linked with Celtic previously and could be the challenge he needs.

2. Matty Longstaff (Newcastle United)
Broken through at Newcastle United this season, one of the few success stories. Magpies have been unable to tie him down to a new contract after the player switched agents. Could be tempted by European football.

3. Karl Darlow (Newcastle)
Back up at St James' Park but has huge Championship experience. Could be an option between the sticks.

4. Jeff Hendrick (Burnley)
Reported to be a Celtic target with Newcastle United possibly keen on the Irish international. Moved to Burnley for a club record £10.5million after a number of proactive and combative midfield displays for Derby and Ireland.
