Rogic, 23, has established himself as a first-team regular at Celtic Park this term after not featuring at all last season due to injury and a loan move to Melbourne victory.

He’s netted six goals, mainly playing in the No.10 role behind Leigh Griffiths in manager Ronny Deila’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.

This has attracted the attention of other clubs with Leeds United said to be keen on trying to lure the player to Elland Road.

The midfielder’s contract expires at the end of next season. However, Celtic are set to move quickly to tie him down to a long-term deal.

The player’s agent, Daniel Berman, even confirmed his client wishes to remain in Glasgow.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, he said: “It is correct that we have been in negotiations to extend Tom’s current deal, and hope to agree something in the near future.

“Tom is very proud to wear the Celtic shirt, and understands what it means to represent the club.

“Having played regularly this season, he is becoming increasingly influential, and is fully committed to helping the team achieve its goals domestically and in Europe.”

Should Rogic sign, he’ll follow in the footsteps of Leigh Griffiths and Nir Bitton, both of whom signed new deals within the last couple of months.

James Forrest is another talent Celtic are looking to reward with a new contract. The pacey winger’s current deal runs out at the end of the current campaign.
