Celtic have included new signing Kolo Toure in their squad for the Champions League qualifying tie with Astana.

Toure will remain in Glasgow for the first leg having stayed at home when the rest of the squad flew out on Monday.

Celtic originally decided against using their one wildcard selection to register Toure after securing his signature on Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers had hoped to recruit another player in time for last night’s deadline, but used the option on Toure when other deals failed to transpire.

The Ivorian is one of five first-team centre backs missing for the first leg encounter in Kazakhstan, with Jozo Simunovic, Erik Sviatchenko, Dedryck Boyata and Kristoffer Ajer all absent through injury.

Toure will be available for selection in the return leg at Celtic Park next week.
