Celtic fly to Israel on luxury private jet used by Madonna

A luxury private jet previously used by pop star Madonna has been leased to Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers and the squad will be flown to Israel ahead of Celtic’s Europa League qualifying match against Hapoel Be’er Sheva on a customised Boeing 757-200 once used by Madonna in New Zealand on her Rebel Heart tour.

On loan from Greek-based aviation specialists Gain Jet, the cabin has been fitted out for VIP guests with club class accommation for 62 passengers.

The players and coaching staff will be able to use wi-fi mid-flight and enjoy a first class food and drink service.

Celtic go into the match defending a 5-2 lead from last week’s first leg at Celtic Park.
