The England Under-19 international has made three substitute appearances for the Barclays Premier League club this season.

He would be the fourth player to join Celtic from City during Ronny Deila’s tenure as manager following Jason Denayer and John Guidetti, who both had loan spells at the club, and Dedryck Boyata, who signed on a four-year-deal last summer.

Celtic play Ross County in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park on Sunday.
