Carnoustie Panmure 0-2 Linlithgow Rose: High-flying Linlithgow overcome Gowfers

Mark BRADLEY’S Linlithgow Rose marched 17 points clear at the top of the East Super League with this well-earned victory over Ian Gilzean’s hard-
working Gowfers.

A bobbly surface and a swirling breeze contributed to an opening ten minutes that saw little fluency to the football, however all that changed in the 11th minute when Rose produced the move of the game that culminated in Stuart McArthur’s neat through ball being converted by Colin Strickland.

On loan striker Bryan Deasley should have scored soon after the Linlithgow opener but he headed wide from eight yards.
