Pre-contract agreements are debated, given Gary Mackay-Steven’s recent deal to join Celtic in the summer and the benefits of winter breaks are mulled over - except by McAllister, who has a lot of love for winter football.

The play-off positions are a point of discussion, with Ross County, St Mirren and possibly Motherwell all in the mix at the foot of the Scottish Premiership and there’s a lot of backing for fan ownership schemes, following Hibernian taking that route in recent weeks.
