

McKay received a notice of complaint from the SFA compliance officer, Tony McGlennan, for his choice of words talking to media after Hearts’ opening-day 4-3 win over St Johnstone.
The SFA allege that he broke rule 73 of their disciplinary by making a “comment of an offensive nature” about Juanma. “He’s a typical foreigner, he gets touched and goes down. He was holding the back of his head and rolling about the place,” said McKay.

Hide AdThe centre-back has until Monday, August 24, to respond to the complaint. Should he challenge it, a hearing will take place on Thursday, September 3.
