Division Three: Alloa and Stranraer show their resilience as Queen’s Park fall out of title race

Elgin City 1 - 2 Stranraer

Stranraer came from behind to keep their slim title hopes alive.

Elgin took the lead when Archie MacPhee netted the rebound after David Mitchell saved his penalty.

However, Michael Moore headed Stranraer level before Stephen Stirling’s 74th-minute winner.

Queen’s Park 0 - 1 Peterhead

Queen’s Park are almost certainly out of the title race with their best hope a play-off spot after this defeat.

Rory McAllister grabbed the winner in the 54th minute after good work from James Redman. He nearly added a second soon after but was denied by Queen’s keeper Neil Parry.

Berwick Rangers 3 - 0 Clyde

A DOUBLE from in-form Danny Handling helped Berwick Rangers to an easy 3-0 win over Clyde.

Ross Gray set up Handling’s 31st-minute opener and four minutes later he added his second from a Kevin McDonald pass. Lee Currie headed home Berwick’s third.

East Stirling 0 - 4 Annan Athletic

Annan revived their play-off hopes in style as Graeme Bell gave the visitors a fifth-minute lead, converting a Jack Steele pass.

Michael McGowan headed Annan into a two-goal lead and further strikes from Steele and Lee Underwood sealed the rout.

Montrose 0 - 2 Alloa Athletic

There was late drama as league leaders Alloa snatched victory.

Alloa’s Ryan Harding was sent off early but Montrose’s Alan Campbell saw red as he conceded a penalty with ten minutes left. Ryan McCord netted the spot-kick and quickly added a second.
