Artur Boruc completes move to Fiorentina

SERIE A club Fiorentina have completed the signing of goalkeeper Artur Boruc from Celtic after he passed a medical.

The Polish international (pictured) has penned a two-year contract with the Viola.

A statement from the Italian side read: "Fiorentina announces it has completed the permanent transfer of Artur Boruc after a successful medical from Glasgow Celtic."

Boruc, who joined Celtic in Legia Warsaw, will join his new team-mates this week in pre-season training in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

The 30-year-old will compete with French goalkeeper Sebastien Frey for the number one spot at the Florence-based outfit.
