Anorak: Put faith in Fulham’s firepower at 21-10

TWO perennial mid-table clubs clash at Villa Park today, but it is the home side who are casting nervous glances at those sides snapping at their heels below, while resurgent Fulham under Martin Jol are starting to look like lively outsiders for a Europa League place

The Cottagers demolished Wolves last week with the on-loan Pavel Pogrebnyak keeping the match ball and the prolific Clint Dempsey netting a brace –together with Andy Johnson, they offer a potent strikeforce.

Fulham may well be traditionally bad travellers, but they still look a great bet at 21-10 in front of fans who seem to want Alex McLeish out. Villa also have Richard Dunne and Darren Bent out and Robbie Keane back at LA Galaxy, so the reasons for backing Fulham are piling up.

Also recommended this weekend are improving West Brom with two goals of a start (evens) when they go to Old Trafford tomorrow, Oldham to beat Yeovil (11-10) and both teams to score in the Chelsea v Stoke match (evens with Ladbrokes).
