Annan keep perfect record intact at Alloa

Annan Athletic are the only side in the three Irn-Bru SFL divisions to have a perfect record after their 2-0 win over visitors Alloa.

Ian Harty netted from close range in the first half and David Cox grabbed the second after the break with a shot from 20 yards out, however Scott Gibson’s dismissal shortly after for a despairing challenge on Craig Campbell made for a nervous ending. Annan manager Harry Cairney said: “It was a really good result achieved by scoring at good times.”

Alloa’s Paul Hartley said: “There was not much between the sides and we will get better over the coming weeks.”
