Akinfenwa welcomes Aberdeen interest

ABERDEEN target Adebayo Akinfenwa is open to a move to Pittodrie. The out-of-contract Northampton striker has been the subject of an inquiry from the Dons.

Akinfenwa will meet his agent Dean Baker this week to discuss his future. "Aberdeen are a big club," Akinfenwa said. "I've got some good friends in Scotland and they tell me that. I am leaving Northampton to play at a higher level and all interest is welcome."
