Aberdeen's Derek McInnes wins appeal against touchline ban

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has had a one-game touchline ban rescinded following a successful appeal.

McInnes was sent to the stands for protesting about the second of two disallowed goals in the Dons’ 1-0 win at Dundee United on March 2 and the offer of a fixed one-match suspension for misconduct was rejected.

The club announced their appeal resulted in a one-match suspended ban until the end of the 2015/16 season by an independent panel at an SFA hearing.

Aberdeen stated on their website: “Aberdeen have today successfully appealed Derek McInnes’ one-game touchline ban.”

The former St Johnstone and Bristol City manager will be able to take his place in the dugout for Aberdeen’s next Ladbrokes Premiership encounter against Hamilton at Pittodrie on Sunday, 3 April.
