On a weekend where Kilmarnock scored four and Motherwell remained on top of the pile, another scoreless Saturday has left many questioning how effectively Brown has used the comparatively-healthy budget made available to him over the summer.

It would appear that the signings made so far are something of an improvement on what we’ve seen before. However, the minds of many Dons fans remain burned by the horrific memories of the previous manager taking us through the August window last year with an unbalanced squad with no full-backs. The hopes of the support rest on the belief that our current manager is too experienced to let the transfer window close without adding much-needed width, creativity and attacking prowess.
