Rangers are set to be followed by 10,000 supporters when they travel to Sheffield Wednesday later this month.

The Light Blues have organised a friendly with the English Championship side for Sunday 30 July as they look to get in some much-needed match practice ahead of the Ladbrokes Premiership season.

They will be backed by a healthy support after Wednesday announced they would be giving Rangers the whole of the north stand as their allocation for the game.

Rangers fans starved of a European adventure following the shock exit to Progres Niederkorn may look at the match as a good excuse to travel away from Scotland to watch their side.
