Musselburgh Athletic 2 Kelty Hearts 1

THE visitors took the lead after 25 minutes when Tom O'Brien headed home at the back post and they held on to their lead mainly thanks to some superb saves from David Fleming. But Musselburgh battled back in the second half and equalised on the hour mark when Paul Tansey capitalised on a bad pass-back to level the scorers. Fifteen minutes later, 'Burgh got the winner when Kris Renton fired home from eight yards out after being set up by Paul Tansey.

WHITBURN dropped back into the relegation zone with a lacklustre display. Joe Savage gave Camelon the lead after nine minutes with David Sheerin adding a second only three minutes later. Blair Batchelor scored a third for Camelon just before the half-time whistle.

Arniston Rangers 1 St Andrews United 3

ST ANDREWS secured their Premier League safety with a deserved victory over Arniston. Gary Sutherland put the visitors ahead on 62 minutes. Six minutes later, the Fifers doubled their lead thanks to Ross Grant. Arniston pulled one back on 81 minutes through Scott Borthwick but St Andrews' victory was sealed on 88 minutes when Sutherland scored his second of the afternoon.

FAULDHOUSE had to win and hope that other results went their way to retain their Premier League status. After a goalless first half, Billy Bald produced an outstanding save from a Brian Felvus free-kick to deny Fauldhouse. With two minutes remaining, Johnny Harvey netted the only goal of the game to send Fauldhouse down to the South Division.

A COMFORTABLE win for Sauchie, who were three up at half-time thanks to a fine hat-trick from Kris Myles. Dalkeith made more of the game in the second half but further goals from Alan Comrie and Darren Cummings gave Sauchie all three points.

SPARTANS ran riot in this final match of the season for Harthill. Spartans were three up before the break with goals from Struan Preston, Ollie Antoni and Michael Moffat. Adam Perry scored a double in the second half with further goals from Kenny Young and Paul Roberts.

BROXBURN faced a difficult task in their quest for league glory, with Livingston on good form of late. It was the hosts who almost took the lead when Easton found himself clear and forced Maley to turn the ball round his post. Jeffreys almost sneaked in when a bad pass-back gave him a chance but Easton, facing his own goal, blasted it clear for a corner which Cairns headed goal bound, only to see Sheridan pull of a great save. Chic Pearson broke the deadlock for Broxburn on 27 minutes, slotting home at the back post after good play from Martin and Jeffreys. Martin hit the post on the hour mark but no goals were to come despite the visitors' dominance.

TRANENT ended their league programme top of the league but Broxburn are title favourites with two games remaining. Goalkeeper Steven Clarke was outstanding for West Calder, keeping the Belters at bay in the first half. On 65 minutes, Tranent went ahead. Steven Tait fired home a superb left-foot shot after Sean Lally and Paul Harvey created the opening. Tranent clinched the points with a solo goal from Brian White after he burst through the right channel and side-footed past Clarke.
