Dunfermline had to come from behind to defeat a Clyde side that led twice before going down 3-2. The Pars had left the pitch at half time drawing with their Third Division opponents with a goal from Andy Kirk bringing the East End Park men level just before the break.

The Bully Wee stunned their hosts with less than two minutes played when visiting captain Adam Strachan fired his side ahead with a finely placed right foot shot from the edge of the box.

The home side look to hit back and put the visiting defence under pressure; however, Clyde came close to doubling their lead when Stuart Mills struck the woodwork on 28 minutes.

Kirk accepted a headed pass from Steven Bell to level on 43 minutes. Clyde went back in front after the resumption with an even quicker goal when Marc McCusker picked his spot behind Chris Smith after Strachan had set the striker up.

Kirk rattled the woodwork before substitute Stephen McDougall pulled Dunfermline level a second time when he drilled home a bell cut back. Kirk was the match-winner when he headed in with just three minutes left.

Ten-man Brechin City looked on course to knock out First Division Dundee until a late double from Leigh Griffiths forced extra time at Glebe Park. The first half had ended goalless with the best action happening at the midway point. A header from Dundee's Jamie Adams was touched away by a diving Craig Nelson and Brechin raced to the other end where only a finely timed Craig McKeown block denied Rory McAllister.

McAllister was not to be denied and just minutes after team-mate Paul Mclean had been dismissed, he opened the scoring in 63 minutes with a low drive before doubling Brechin's lead with a similar effort 60 seconds later. Griffiths pulled a goal back on 71 minutes when he cracked in a low shot and three minutes later the striker fired home a second time to level.
