Flower is sure KP will bloom

ENGLAND cricket coach Andy Flower refuses to believe Kevin Pietersen's lean run will last for long and has backed the faltering batsman to make a big contribution in Friday's first Test against Bangladesh.

Since arriving in Bangladesh, with talk about a perceived weakness against left-arm spin and just 69 runs in seven innings against modest opposition. Pietersen is under pressure.

But Flower insisted: "He's a world-class player with a great record behind him and we still expect a lot from him in these Test matches.

"I do think all the hard work he is putting in and the thought he is putting into his game will stand him in good stead in the future."
