Hide AdIf a move to Burnley can be agreed it is believed that Fletcher will at least treble the 3,000 a week that he is said to be earning at Easter Road.
With add-ons, the deal will be worth closer to 3.6m to Hibs if the player meets certain clauses in his contract in terms of appearances at domestic and international level.
If a deal is concluded, Fletcher would be in line to make his Premier League bow when Burnley face Stoke at the Britannia Stadium on 15 August.
Hibs boss John Hughes revealed yesterday that he had been on holiday in Florida when he received a phonecall from Clarets boss Owen Coyle enquiring about the hitman.
