Fletch hailed in Midlothian

SCOTLAND skipper Darren Fletcher has been inducted into Midlothian's Sporting Hall of Fame.

The Manchester United midfielder joins a prestigious group of inductees, including former Scotland international rugby player Jim Aitken and world judo champion Graeme Randall, to have their achievements celebrated by Midlothian Council.

Fletcher, who first played for Langlaw Boys Club, said: "This is a great achievement and it really means a lot to me given that it comes from my local area of Midlothian where I played a lot of games and won a few trophies. I feel a real sense of pride."
