Five-goal Grange head for play-offs in Zagreb

HOCKEY: Grange stormed into today’s promotion play-offs in the European Club Champions Challenge in Zagreb with a convincing 5-1 victory over Gibraltar side Eagles in the final pool match.

Goals from 15-year-old Hamish Imrie and Matt Connor had the Scots two up before the Eagles pulled one back early in the second half. Grange quickly restored their two goal lead with Cammie Fraser netting before Sands made it 4-1 and Duncan Riddell scored number five with two minutes to go.

On Saturday, Grange dominated play against Czech side Rakovnik but could only manage a 3-3 draw.
