Fishing: Your Say

We asked if you though the colour or diameter of leader mattered.

Steve Reilly, Gorebridge: "If you are pulling flies or lures it does not make any difference. However, on certain waters the dark monofilament the fish see it and stay clear."

Sandy Watkins, Edinburgh: "It does not make any difference. If the fish are feeding they will take anyway but it is best to stay on 6lb-plus anyway."

Hugh Frail, Elphinstone: "In very clear water it does make a difference what diameter and colour you are using. The simple rule is if you can see it then so can the fish."

When boat fishing, do you think an outboard spooks fish when motoring to get in position?
