First Welsh win for Gary Speed boosts Craig Bellamy

CRAIG BELLAMY insists he still has a lot to offer Wales as they seek to make the step to qualifying for major championships.

The Manchester City forward played just over an hour before giving way to goalscorer Rob Earnshaw as Gary Speed's side finished their Carling Nations Cup campaign with a 2-0 win over Northern Ireland.

"It was important that we got the win. It was Gary's first win as manager," said the 31-year-old. Opposite number Nigel Worthington sought positives from a campaign which ended pointless and goalless. "The performance was probably the best of the three games," he said.
