First Division preview

ROSS COUNTY will have to put any thoughts of their forthcoming Scottish Cup semi-final to the back of their minds when they host league leaders Dundee this afternoon. County stunned Hibs in midweek to book their place at Hampden but Derek Adams' side are also still in the hunt for the First Division title.

They lie seven points behind Dundee but have three games in hand and victory today would keep them in the race for promotion. County's league form has been indifferent of late, however, with the side recording just one win from their last five matches. As a side note, they haven't beaten Dundee at Victoria Park since 2006. The visitors, now under the stewardship of Gordon Chisholm, are another side struggling for form. The draw with Queen of the South in midweek was their fourth consecutive game without a win and they now find their place at the top of the table under serious threat from the chasing pack. With just eight games to play, Chisholm will be hoping that his side can regain the winning thread before too long. They can't take comfort from their recent away form though, having not won on the road since December.
