First capital derby clash is switched to a Sunday

THE first Edinburgh derby of the season has been moved to a Sunday, as the Scottish Premier League yesterday announced a list of 14 fixtures for the early part of the news season which have been rescheduled for live television coverage.

The Hearts v Hibs match at Tynecastle, which was scheduled for 3pm on Saturday 27 August, has been moved back just over 24 hours to a 3.45pm kick-off on Sunday 28 August. The match will be screened live by ESPN.

The first Old Firm fixture of the season has also been moved back a day. Rangers v Celtic will now be played on Sunday 18 September, kick-off 12.30pm, to be shown live on Sky Sports.

Ten of the 14 rescheduled fixtures are away matches for Rangers or Celtic, with the other four involving Hibs or Hearts.
