Fernando Torres on form for Spain
FERNANDO TORRES says he feels better all the time after continuing his quest for full fitness with a brace of goals as Scotland's group rivals Spain started their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign with a 4-0 win over Liechtenstein.
Torres has struggled with injuries in 2010, undergoing two knee operations whilst also suffering an adductor injury in July's World Cup final. The 26-year-old, however, looked in fine form last night as he opened the scoring with a chip in the 19th minute before adding a second in the 54th minute.
"I feel better every day after the injury, with more rhythm and the goals give me a lot of confidence," Torres said.
David Villa and David Silva also netted against the side who face Scotland on Tuesday.
