FA Cup deal for Budweiser

New FA Cup sponsors Budweiser insist they are happy to work with both Fifa and the Football Association.

Budweiser, owned by American firm Anheuser-Busch InBev, have been the official beer of the Fifa World Cup for the past 25 years. Last month, the FA tried to delay the Fifa presidential election because of the ongoing corruption row. But the whole issue did not put Budweiser off a three-year deal to be the lead sponsor for the FA Cup, reportedly worth around 24 million.

"We have had a partnership with Fifa since 1986," said Chris Burggraeve, Budweiser's chief marketing officer. "We shared some of our concerns with Fifa, but we always speak from the fans' perspective. We will continue to work very well with both these organisations."
