England faith in youth

UNCAPPED England trio Owen Farrell, Brad Barritt and Phil Dowson are in line to face Scotland in the Calcutta Cup clash at Murayfield on Saturday and are tipped to be joined by Mouritz Botha as well as new captain Chris Robshaw, who have just one Test cap apiece.

Bath-bound hooker Rob Webber and Northampton scrum-half Lee Dickson are also set to be included in the 22 after interim head coach Stuart Lancaster last night trimmed his squad to 24 players.

Forwards coach Graham Rowntree tipped the youngsters to quell the Scots fire. He said: “Scotland always save a passion up for us.

“Those emotions and those experiences of running out on the field are what drive you as a player.

“No-one expects us to do well. We will have something to say about that.”
