Emphasis to be on fun at closing ceremony

VANCOUVER Games chief executive John Furlong has given a sneak preview of this Sunday's closing ceremony at BC Place.

The final act of any Olympic Games is traditionally a more informal gathering than the opening ceremony and Furlong said: "I think you'll find that the closing is a very Canadian, fun, happy show. You can expect that the closing ceremony will be a warm, happy, fun-filled goodbye. It will be a Canadian goodbye, in which we might poke a bit of fun at ourselves."
